Privacy Policy
Last updated August 7, 2026
Soft Power Society is operated by Yannet Barron. This policy explains what personal information we collect through joinsoftpowersociety.com (the “Site”), why we collect it, and the choices you have. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Soft Power Society.
1. Information you give us
We only collect what you choose to send:
- Contact form. Your name, email address, and the content of your message.
- Discovery call bookings. Calls are scheduled through Calendly, which collects your name, email address, the time you select, and anything you enter in its intake fields.
- Correspondence. Anything you include when you write to us directly.
We do not ask for sensitive information through the Site. Please do not send health, financial, or government identification details through the contact form.
2. Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you viewed. This is used in aggregate to keep the Site running and secure.
We do not currently run third-party analytics or advertising trackers on the Site. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.
3. Cookies
The Site itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Calendly may set its own cookies when you open the scheduler to book a call. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the scheduler may not work correctly if you do.
4. How we use your information
- To answer your message and continue the conversation you started.
- To schedule, deliver, and administer coaching sessions.
- To send you information you specifically asked for, including about Detached.
- To keep the Site working and secure.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use it to train any automated system.
5. Marketing email
Submitting the contact form does not subscribe you to anything. If we add a newsletter later, it will be opt-in only, and every message will carry an unsubscribe link.
6. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with the service providers who help us run the business, and only as far as each one needs it to do its job:
- Calendly, to schedule discovery calls and coaching sessions.
- Our form and email delivery provider, to route contact form messages to us.
- Our website host, to serve the Site.
- Our payment processor, if you become a client and pay for coaching.
Each of these providers is bound by its own privacy commitments. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property.
7. Inquiries versus client records
A message sent through the contact form is an inquiry, not confidential client material, and sending one does not make you a client. Once a coaching relationship begins, what you share in sessions is kept confidential and held separately from anything on the marketing side of the business. The confidentiality terms that apply to coaching are set out in the coaching agreement you sign before any work starts, not on this website.
8. How long we keep it
Contact form messages are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted. Client records are kept for the length of the coaching relationship and afterward for as long as tax and legal obligations require, normally seven years. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
9. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS, and we work with established providers who maintain their own safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Have inaccurate information corrected.
- Have your information deleted.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent you previously gave.
- Not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights.
To make a request, write to us through the contact form. We will respond within the time the applicable law allows, normally within 30 days.
11. Children
The Site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Visitors outside the United States
We operate from Kansas, United States. If you use the Site from another country, your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
13. Contact
Questions about this policy, or about the information we hold, can be sent through the contact form.
14. Changes
We may update this policy as the business changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and we will flag material changes on the Site.
